1 in 5 women experiences infertility. These fertility problems come from a variety of causes, and one of those is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS.) Once you know the source of your fertility problems, improving your chances of getting pregnant using natural methods is often possible! If you’re a Cyster living with PCOS, your fertility can get a big boost using intentional, research-backed vitamins and minerals.
With the support of the right nutrients, you can improve egg quality, ovulation, sex hormone balance, period regularity, and more. However, we all know that even with a balanced diet, getting all the right vitamins is super difficult! That’s why quality supplements can make all the difference in getting you to your goals and fulfill your dream of becoming a mom.
From the bottom of my heart, I want that for all of you! So, today, I am sharing a round-up of supplements that can help you significantly improve your reproductive health. Here’s what you should consider…

11 Supplements to Boost Fertility
1. Prenatal Multivitamin
Taking a preconception multivitamin tailored for PCOS is a vital step in supporting your body as you regulate your cycles and prepare for pregnancy. Many women with PCOS are already deficient in essential nutrients for a healthy pregnancy. A high-quality multivitamin can help fill these gaps, providing important nutrients like iron, vitamin B, vitamin D, and choline to optimize your health and fertility. This helps make the perfect, healthy home for your growing baby!
Our prenatal multivitamin includes both folate and folic acid, making it suitable for individuals with the MTHFR gene mutation who may have difficulty converting folic acid into its active form, folate. This is important, because folate (AKA vitamin B9) can reduce the risk of neural tube defects in infants by more than 70%! Plus, it can support placental development, reduce the risk of preterm birth, and prevent anemia in expectant mothers.

2. CoQ10
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) actually supports fertility in both men and women! Right now, we’re talking about my Cysters, but know that it can help your partner too. For female reproductive health, CoQ10 can improve egg quality, improve ovulation, reduce oxidative stress, lower blood pressure, regulate insulin levels, increase good cholesterol, and balance sex hormones. This is especially true for women undergoing IVF fertility treatments (but it’s good for all types of conception.)
And, while we’re on the topic, let’s discuss how CoQ10 can be helpful for male fertility, too! (I mean, why not have both partners be in optimal health when trying to conceive?) Research has shown CoQ10 can improve sperm quality overall! This includes sperm shape, sperm motility, and sperm count. So, your partner can not only join in on your healthy diet for fertility to show support, but they can start taking some helpful supplements, too.
Because it’s so helpful for fertility in women (and men!), I include CoQ10 in my Purely Prenatal vitamins. The type of CoQ10 in my formulation uses “VESIsorb,” which is patented tech that makes CoQ10 way more bioavailable. In fact, it increases the absorption of CoQ10 by 300%-600%!
3. Inositol Complete 40:1
Inositol Complete 40:1 is my favorite (and soon to be your favorite) supplement to improve PCOS symptoms, including infertility. In a study that compared the supplements inositol and berberine and PCOS medication metformin, inositol (AKA Inositol Complete 40:1) performed by far the best. This means that a natural supplement was shown to be more effective than a prescription medication. That’s great news for you! That means healing with no side effects.
It improves fertility by reducing insulin resistance, regulating the menstrual cycle, balancing hormones important for ovulation, and bettering egg quality. Inositol Complete 40:1 can also help with other PCOS symptoms, and that overall health improvement can relieve stress and strain on the mind and body, which is also good for conception.
You can get Inositol Complete 40:1 from Ovafit in a convenient, flavorless powder that makes getting your daily dose super easy. My supplement line is NSF-certified, and my Ovasitol is dye-free, additive-free, gluten-free, and vegan. It includes everything you need without compromising your diet goals!
Plus, when you download The Cysterhood app, you’ll find dozens of healthy recipes that use Inositol Complete 40:1! You can basically make getting your daily supplements a treat, which I am ALL ABOUT. How does a Ferrero Rocher Protein Smoothie sound? What about a Hibiscus Blackberry Virgin Margarita? Or Strawberry Cheesecake Popsicles? If any of these sound delicious to you, join The Cysterhood and download that app!
4. Curcumin
Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, can support fertility in women with PCOS by helping calm chronic inflammation. Inflammation is a common but often overlooked factor in PCOS, and it can interfere with hormone signaling and ovulation. By reducing inflammatory stress in the body, curcumin helps create a more balanced environment that’s supportive of regular cycles and ovulation.
Curcumin may also improve insulin sensitivity and reduce oxidative stress, both of which play a role in PCOS-related fertility challenges. Better insulin control can help lower androgen levels, which supports more predictable ovulation and healthier egg quality. Over time, this combination can make the body more receptive to conception and implantation.
5. Vitamin D
It’s not uncommon for women with PCOS to have a vitamin D level lower than normal. Research shows that supplementation of vitamin D can improve the chances of conceiving and carrying successfully with both natural conception and IVF. It can also help with regulating periods, which is good for tracking ovulation and successful conception! Vitamin D can do more for women with PCOS too, so we included it in my preconception multivitamin, which is the multivitamin included in the Purely Prenatal bundle.
6. Vitamin B
B vitamins support our bodies in so many ways!!! You’ll find plenty of them in my MetaMulti supplement, because it’s great for fertility and overall wellness. Here’s what you can expect from some of the big Bs:
- Vitamin B12 – Can improve reproductive organ functioning, reduce oxidative stress, lower inflammation, and promote healthy homocysteine levels (amino acids important to egg quality.)
- Vitamin B6 – Can improve sex hormone balance and strengthen your uterine lining to improve your chances of getting pregnant.
- Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid) – Can help with regulating the menstrual cycle, maintaining sex hormone levels, and improving follicular development. However, it’s not just helpful for fertility, but folic acid is essential in pregnancy to produce red blood cells that help your baby’s brain and spinal cord form.
7. Vitamin C
Vitamin C (AKA ascorbic acid) is another one of those alphabet vitamins in the MetaMulti supplements that’s essential for overall health, but has specific fertility benefits. Vitamin C can help regulate hormone balance, enhance egg quality, protect against oxidative stress, and improve the chances of conception.
8. Iron
Iron has been shown in studies to have a big effect on female fertility. The research states that women who took a multivitamin (like the MetaMulti) with iron have a much lower chance of experiencing infertility than women who didn’t. Iron is thought to have this effect because it helps with the production of red blood cells, menstrual regularity, preventing anemia, and improving egg quality.
9. Zinc
Zinc can increase fertility by balancing testosterone, improving egg quality, inducing egg activation, managing blood sugar levels, developing a strong immune system, and optimizing other aspects of the reproductive process. All are important for conception and a healthy pregnancy! I have zinc in our MetaMulti, of course, because of these PCOS benefits and more!
10. Magnesium
Magnesium can help relieve stress, inflammation, insulin resistance, and hormonal imbalances, which can all have an indirect effect on fertility! The better your overall health, the better your chances of conception and a healthy pregnancy. Magnesium is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies, and that’s especially true in women with PCOS, so this one is a must for any supplement routine! Here’s more on magnesium and PCOS.
11. Omega-3 Fatty Acids
My Metabolism Plus bundle from Ovafit includes a multivitamin and CoQ10—I’ve discussed both here in this post! But, it also includes omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to be beneficial for improving your mood, supporting heart health, and reducing inflammation. However, it’s also super good for reproductive health!
Omega-3 fatty acids can help balance sex hormones and reduce inflammation, which is great for conception and carrying out a healthy pregnancy. It can also directly help with successful fertilization and implantation by supporting a healthier egg quality and uterine lining. And, once you’re pregnant, the demand for healthy fats grows, because the DHA found in omega-3s is essential for fetal brain and eye development. Studies show it also helps reduce the risk of preterm birth! So, all around, an omega-3 supplement is a smart one to including your regimen!

Is There An All-in-One PCOS Supplement?
Unfortunately, no. There isn’t a single supplement that can magically improve every fertility marker. Fertility is complex, and different issues require different support. That said, you don’t need to take a baker’s dozen of supplements either. If you want to keep things minimal, you have two good options: choose supplements that offer the widest range of benefits, or focus on supplements that target your specific fertility challenges.
If you’re going the first route, I generally recommend starting with a high-quality prenatal vitamin and inositol. These cover a lot of foundational needs and support overall reproductive health. If you prefer a more targeted approach, the first step is working with a specialist to identify what’s actually holding you back—whether that’s irregular cycles, poor egg quality, hormonal imbalances, diminished ovarian reserve, or implantation issues.
From there, you can use supplements strategically. Here are some options that target common fertility concerns:
Supplements to Improve Egg Quality
- Inositol: Supports egg maturation, insulin sensitivity, and mitochondrial function
- CoQ10: Improves cellular energy production and protects eggs from oxidative stress
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Reduce inflammation and support healthy cell membranes in developing eggs
- Vitamin D: Supports hormone signaling and overall ovarian function
- Antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium): Help protect eggs from oxidative damage
Supplements for Uterine Health
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Support blood flow and reduce inflammation in the uterine lining
- Vitamin E: Helps improve endometrial thickness and circulation
- Iron: Essential for oxygen delivery and a healthy uterine environment
- Vitamin D: Supports implantation and immune balance in the uterus
- Folate: Supports DNA synthesis and early implantation
Ovary Support Supplements
- Inositol: Supports ovarian signaling, ovulation, and hormone balance
- Magnesium: Helps regulate hormone production and reduces ovarian inflammation
- Zinc: Essential for ovulation, follicle development, and hormone synthesis
- B-complex vitamins: Support ovarian energy production and hormone metabolism
- Omega-3 fatty acids: Reduce ovarian inflammation and support follicle health
- Antioxidants (NAC, selenium): Help protect ovarian tissue and support follicular development
These vitamins and minerals can help you boost fertility!
