Frequently Asked Questions
From Customers
What is Inositol?
Inositol is a nutrient found in fruits, beans, grains, and nuts and is also made by the body. Studies have shown inositol promotes healthy hormone levels, which may support regular menstrual cycles and healthy ovarian function.* Inositol also promotes healthy lipid levels and supports healthy egg quality in certain women trying to conceive.*
How is the Ovasitol supplement different than other inositol supplements?
Ovasitol inositol supplement is the first and only inositol supplement that is independently verified for content accuracy and purity through a not-for-profit certification program (NSF® International).
Ovasitol contains 100% pure inositol powder, a combination of myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol, in the body’s naturally occurring ratio of 40 to 1. Recent studies have shown that taking a combination of these two forms, in this ratio, is more beneficial than taking myo-inositol or D-chiro inositol alone.*
Ovasitol contains an unflavored inositol powder, packaged in either convenient, single-serving packets or a canister with a scoop. Each serving provides 2,000 mg of myo-inositol + 50 mg of D-chiro-inositol.

Who is likely to benefit from Ovasitol?
Women trying to promote normal hormone and lipid levels and regular menstrual cycles may benefit from taking Ovasitol. For some women trying to conceive, inositol may promote egg quality.* Women trying to conceive should take Ovasitol along with a preconception prenatal supplement, such as TheraNatal® Core or TheraNatal OvaVite®.
How long will it take for Ovasitol to work?
Ovasitol is designed for continuous, long-term use. It generally takes at least three months of regular, daily use to see menstrual benefits and at least 6 months of regular, daily use to see skin and hair benefits.* If you are taking Ovasitol to promote healthy egg quality, take consistently for at least six weeks.* Be sure to follow up with your health care provider to monitor your progress.
Can I continue to take Ovasitol during pregnancy?
Yes. You can safely continue to take Ovasitol during pregnancy. There is research showing benefit from taking inositol throughout pregnancy. Check with your healthcare provider to learn more.
Can I continue to take Ovasitol while breastfeeding?
Yes. Ovasitol is safe to continue while breastfeeding.
Are there any Ovasitol side effects?
No. There are no expected side effects from Ovasitol. Studies have shown that inositol is safe and well-tolerated when taken at the typical recommended dose of 4,000 mg a day.
Can Ovasitol help with weight loss?
According to the research, inositol may help with weight loss.* Some studies have shown that women taking inositol have significant weight loss compared to women taking a placebo.* It is always important to consult with your health care provider if weight loss is a desire, and to follow a healthful diet and be physically active while taking Ovasitol.
Can I take Ovasitol with other dietary supplements?
Yes. You can take Ovasitol with other dietary supplements. However, if you are considering taking Ovasitol and DHEA together, please check with your health care provider. DHEA may raise testosterone levels and counteract the potential beneficial effects of an inositol supplement in certain individuals.
Can I take Ovasitol with prescription medications?
Yes. You can take Ovasitol along with most prescription medications. However, if you are considering using Ovasitol and have a prescription to control your blood sugar, please check with your healthcare provider.
Ovasitol can also be taken if you are taking a thyroid medication. However, these should be taken at different times. It is typically recommended to take thyroid medications on an empty stomach, whereas Ovasitol should be taken with food. If you take your thyroid medication early in the morning, for example, you could take Ovasitol with or after your breakfast or lunch.

What is Vesisorb?
CoQ10 is a large, fat-soluble molecule. It’s difficult for your body to absorb, even when taken with food.
VESIsorb is a patented colloidal delivery system that has been shown to improve the absorption and bioavailability of CoQ10 by 300-600%, compared to standard CoQ10 supplements.* This means that taking 250 mg of our CoQ, is equivalent to taking 750-1,500 mg of other CoQ10 supplements.*
Should I continue taking Purely PreNatal once I’m pregnant?
The nutrients in Purely Prenatal are safe to take during pregnancy. The preconception tablet is specifically formulated to support your nutritional needs while trying to conceive and during the early stages of pregnancy (through the first trimester).
While the CoQ10 softgels are safe to take during pregnancy, there are no known benefits of continuing CoQ10 after you become pregnant.
Before beginning your second trimester, it’s best to switch to a prenatal vitamin designed specifically for pregnancy.
